Elder Law

As our population ages, more and more of us will confront elder law-related issues—either for ourselves or our parents or other loved ones. Perhaps the most pressing issue remains long-term or nursing home care, and how to pay for it. Long-term care planning is the process of arranging your assets in a way that protects some or all of your assetsfrom the devastating cost of longterm or nursing home care.

Signing a Contract

Disability Planning

When you are alive and able, you can make your own life decisions. But what if this decision-making ability is lost to disability or incapacity? Many are under the mistaken impression that a spouse, parent, or adult child can automatically step in and make decisions on their behalf if they become unable to make decisions on their own. However, Wisconsin Law offers no such default for anyone 18 years old or older. These documents are deceptively complex and can cause many unintended results if not drafted and executed properly.

Signing Contract

Estate Administration

Probate and Trust Administration are the processes through which estate assets are transferred after death. As an estate planning law firm, we understand that the loss of a life is a very difficult time for family and loved ones. Our attorneys are sensitive to the specific concerns and we work closely with each family to make the estate administration process as easy and pain-free as possible.

Comforting Hands

Medicaid Crisis Planning

Medicaid Crisis Planning is appropriate when a person is in need of immediate financial relief from long-term care services, which are either already being provided or need to be provided soon. Those who failed to engage in Pre-Planning may lave little choice but to now engage in the Medicaid application process which can be overwhelming for the average layperson. Our attorneys provide the guidance you need in making sense of the law and giving solid answers when no one else seems able.
